NARISSA'S BIOGRAPHY
Narissa was born and raised in the state of Washington. She grew up in a church home, where her mother was a choir director, and her grandmother was a pastor and gospel singer. Narissa's first music memory is from 1982, when she performed in a televised concert with her two sisters and cousin at the age of five. During her youth, she would travel and sing back up for her grandmother. She was also involved in the choirs at her church. Although gospel is Narissa's primary influence, her interest grew as she was exposed to other genres from friends and family. Her father introduced her to her favorite music, which is the music of Motown. Narissa has performed pop, rock, country, classical and the blues.
In 2001, the Civic Light Opera in Seattle gave Narissa her first opportunity to work in a musical. Since then, she has worked professionally in theater, with bands, and as a soloist. She is happy to be where the music is and will continue to sing and write songs for all to hear!
